Agriculture & Sustainability (Jerry Travers) Wednesday August 26th (2 Classes)

Jerry Travers had been intrigued with growing plants for 70 years He has been growing much of his food supply for about 20 years. He has planted everything that he knows that will grow in Connecticut and many that will not succeed here. He does not use chemicals to grow plants and has used organic methods for over 50 years. He graduated into regenerative and restorative agriculture. Where he uses diverse cover crops, nurse crops, plus companion planting designs. These methods increase disease resistance to the crops and restore medicine and to the plants. As Hippocrates said, let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food. Learn how not to grow like Cain. Genesis 4:12. When you till the ground, it shall not henceforth. Yield unto thee her strength. Instead, “eat… for strength…”. Ecclesiastes 10:17 using God's original methods of growing plants.

Roy is a native New Yorker who resides in Upstate New York with his wife Shawna and son Justin. His journey into survival and wilderness living began during his military service. What started as foundational training grew into a lifelong calling—one that has spanned more than three decades of camping, outdoor education, and hands-on survival instruction. For over 20 years, Roy has faithfully taught both children and adults, sharing practical wilderness skills through programs hosted by local churches, conferences, and even across the North American Division. Yet, beyond the depth of his experience and his teaching, Roy does not define himself by titles or accomplishments. At heart, he remains a humble servant of God—one who simply desires to equip his brothers and sisters with knowledge, confidence, and readiness. With a spirit of compassion and purpose, he shares these skills not for recognition, but for “such a time as this,” believing that preparation is both a practical necessity and a spiritual responsibility.

Our speaker Samuel Tucker is a gospel medical missionary evangelist and Speaker/Director of Glad Tidings 3AM. Samuel was born and raised in Essex county, New Jersey and from his mid teenage years gave promise of a life dedicated to service. After receiving the Divine call to ministry Samuel attended Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama and M.E.E.T. Ministry in Huntingdon, Tennessee, receiving training in gospel lines. For nearly a decade Samuel has been involved in full-time ministry and is now accompanied by his wife Erika as of 2020. Samuel is a powerful preacher of the word of God and has an intense desire to see souls transformed through Christ and prepared for the closing scenes of this earth's history.

The importance of the work of the ministry is unmistakable; but many who are hungry for the bread of life have not the privilege of hearing the word from God’s delegated preachers. For this reason it is essential that our publications be widely circulated. Heaven is a Happy Place (HHP) is a Bible School where children and youth gain knowledge in the study of GOD’s word. HHP encourages families to make the bible the source of true education. HHP’s mission is three-fold: focusing on children and youth sabbath school, practical life skills and evangelistic outreach. HHP’s weekly Bible School aims to teach young people the unfiltered truth found in the word of GOD, inviting them into a relationship with CHRIST where they are excited to become missionaries for HIM. Biblical study is reinforced by missionary training and work, health principles, and nature study. Our practical skills training is a preparatory school where the study of the bible is integrated into skills training so that both mind and body would be fit to share the gospel in useful labor and character building.

HHP is excited to bring GOD’s message to the youth and children during the Maranatha End Time Preparation Camp Meeting under the theme, “Wilderness Journey: From Egypt to Canaan”. We will have a fun-filled time in the LORD as we learn about our environment, practical skills and most of all learn more about our experience and relationship with GOD. Your young ones will learn so much about health, wilderness survival, cooking, natural remedies and much more! Youth and children will have lessons and activities geared especially toward their age group. We look forward to sharing GOD’s message during this special event!
